CHS - Class of 79
History Since Graduation
Greg Younger
So much has happened to me since graduation that it would
be hard to express in less than book form, haha. I attended NEMCC and Ole Miss majoring in
Business Administration. For four years I worked as a sales representativein
computers and office equipment. Then, in 1987, I quit my job and took the biggest
chance of my life running for the newly created office of Alcorn County Tax
Collector. I won the election and took office in January of 1988. I have won
re-election twice since without having an opponent and at the time of this writing I am
keeping my fingers crossed that I will be without opposition in this election year seeking
my fourth term in office. Also in June of 1988, I became the luckiest man in the
world marrying the former Jeannine Rhodes of Nashville, Tennessee. Some of you may
know Jeannine as she is the niece of Marilyn Ruth who graduated in 1977. We have a
five year old (holy terror) son named Marcus, who is in kindergarten at West
Corinth. We have been active in Corinth Theatre Arts, with me serving as a Board
Member for several years and both of us being in several plays.
That about sums up the post-graduation life of G. Greg Younger. Look forward to
seeing you soon.
