CHS - Class of 79
History Since Graduation

Jonathan Eric Connally

My family relocated to Atlanta during High School.  Soon after graduation I traveled with Buz, Richard, and Demmy to Destin Florida on an unofficial senior trip.  Upon recovery I entered Southeastern College in Lakeland Florida where I graduated with a BA in pastoral studies in 1984. During my first semester I ran into someone whom I had met as a fifth-grader living in Corinth.  We were at the same summer camp in north Mississippi in 1971.   Karen and I were married in Corinth in August of 81.  This was virtually the last time I have seen or talked to anyone from Corinth until recently when I received a call from Demmy Holt. (I appreciate Sherry and Demmy tracking me down! )

After graduating we served as youth and assistant pastor in North Carolina.  We were in Durham until 1993.  During this time our first(Hannah 10) and second (Elizabeth 7) daughters were born.  We then relocated to Georgia to serve as pastor for the next four and a half years.  During this time our third daughter, Grace, was born.  In  the early nineties I spent some time in Russia and the Ukraine.  This opened up doors to play a role in missions construction projects.  In 1996 I began to travel extensively working in remote locations.  This was solely related to third world countries where school and church and orphanage construction were needed.  My most recent projects have taken me to Srivillipittur India, Bogota Columbia, Trinidad Tobago, Unalakleet Alaska, and Nairoybi, Kenya.   My family currently resides in Dalton, Ga. where I serve in missions construction and own a construction business.  We are to be relocated to Waxahachie Texas in early fall.  Hunting, travel, photography, and a poor golf game fill in the spare time.  Its been good to correspond with old friends.  I  look forward to the reunion.
